Thank you for choosing Uncommon Canopy for your plant needs! Please review our shipping policy below for details on our process, timelines, and care tips upon arrival.
WINTER SHIPPING
- During cold-weather months, we require all Uncommon Canopy orders to ship using 2-Day Shipping or faster. This ensures your plants spend minimal time in transit and arrive healthy, protected, and ready to thrive. Customers will need to select an eligible shipping option at checkout to complete their order.
- For additional cold protection, heat packs are available for a $5 upgrade. These are strongly recommended for customers in colder regions or when temperatures drop below safe thresholds. Please add a note to your order or email bartender@uncommoncanopy.com with your order number.
1. Processing Time
- Order Fulfillment: Orders are typically processed within 7 business days. During peak seasons or holiday periods, processing times may be extended.
- The bulk of orders will ship Monday-Tuesday. Any orders placed after 12pm on Tuesday will typically ship the following Monday so that packages are not held by the courier over the weekend.
- Order Confirmation: You will receive an order confirmation email when your order is placed.
- Order Tracking: You will receive an email with a tracking link once your order is processed. The estimated or guaranteed delivery window for the chosen method of shipment begins when the order is picked up by the shipping carrier, not the day the order is placed.
- Processing time may vary for US territories, Alaska, Hawaii, and international destinations (see below).
2. Shipping Methods

We ship all live plants via UPS or USPS depending on location. Shipping costs vary based on package size, weight, and destination and will be calculated at checkout. You can choose from the following shipping options:

Standard and Ground Shipping (3-7 business days): Best for hardy plants and temperate climates.

Expedited Shipping (1-3 business days): Recommended for sensitive, higher cost plants and extreme temperature conditions to ensure quick delivery.

3. Packing Methods
- Packaging: Each plant is packaged with protective materials to safeguard from damage during transit.
- Weather Precautions: To protect plants from extreme temperatures we monitor the weather conditions at our facility and at the destination. Shipping will be held as necessary to avoid inclement conditions.
4. US Shipping

We ship to all 50 states and territories. We are unable to ship plants to PO Boxes due to transit times and courier restrictions.
5. International Shipping

We are unable to ship to EU countries due to onerous phytosanitary certificate requirements.

6. Receiving Your Plants

Please be ready to receive and unpack your plants promptly. Upon arrival, inspect each plant carefully and acclimate it for several weeks before repotting into new media.
7. Shipping Delays & Damage Policy

Lost or Delayed Packages: We do our best to assist in tracking and locating your shipment should an issue arise with the shipping carrier.

Damaged Plants: If your plant arrives damaged, please contact us at bartender@uncommoncanopy.com within 24 hours of delivery with clear photos of the damage, the box and the packing slip. We will work with you to resolve the issue, however, sometimes a bent stem or broken leaf is unavoidable during the shipping process.
